The area belongs to the central part of the Florentine plain, to the north of Pistoiese road.

All around, a banal landscape dominates with extensive arable fields, many of which almost entirely occupied by vegetable gardens, shacks (often used as an unlawful storage of building materials) and hunting hides, built illegally with iron panels and concrete walls.
